I grew up in Milan, Ohio — a small town where family meant everything. I studied Accounting and Finance at Lenoir-Rhyne University, then went on to earn my MBA in Financial Management from the University of Missouri.
My background is in numbers and planning, but Family Fortress came from something far more personal. Watching my father and his sisters navigate the chaos after my grandparents passed — the missing documents, the unclear wishes, the avoidable conflict — I realized that financial planning without family organization is incomplete.
And when lightning struck our family home, we learned firsthand how a simple asset inventory could have saved us months of insurance headaches. I built Family Fortress for my own family first — and now I am making it available to yours.
