By accessing or using Family Fortress at familyfortressvault.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Family Fortress. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

Family Fortress is a secure digital vault and family organization platform that allows users to store documents, manage family member access, maintain a home inventory, and create emergency preparedness plans.

We offer both free and paid subscription tiers. Features available to you depend on your current plan. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time.

3. Account Registration

To use Family Fortress, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials • All activity that occurs under your account • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. Accounts may not be transferred to another person without our written consent.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Family Fortress offers a free Essential plan and paid subscription plans billed monthly or annually. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change with advance notice.

Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for the full year. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Family Fortress only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or fraudulent content • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts • Use the platform to store content that violates any applicable law • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of our platform • Use automated tools to scrape or access the platform without permission • Resell or sublicense access to the platform

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for any violation of these terms.

6. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all documents, files, and content you upload to Family Fortress. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process that content solely for the purpose of providing our service to you.

We do not access, review, or use your personal documents for any purpose other than delivering the platform's features. We will never sell or share your content with third parties.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Family Fortress is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

Family Fortress is a document organization tool and is not a substitute for legal, financial, or professional advice. We strongly encourage you to work with qualified attorneys, financial advisors, and estate planners for your specific situation.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Family Fortress shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data, unauthorized access to your account, or interruption of service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Family Fortress and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Missouri, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in that forum.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@familyfortressvault.com. We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion if you violate these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. We will delete your data within 48 hours of account termination, except where retention is required by law.
